In fact, the main reason behind is that it will be possible for the family members to order a unique casket for the deceased. For example, some special ornaments on the casket can be requested.

Yet for some people the option of ordering from the casket manufacturer will not be a suitable one. This is because it is usually more expensive for one to purchase a specially made casket from the casket maker.

In most cases, it will be very important for every family members, as well as the people who are helping to plan the funeral, to make the final decision together on the casket to be chosen. Of course this is due to the importance of it.

In fact, it will be a lot better if the deceased has planned for the funeral himself / herself beforehand. The family members will just do whatever the deceased planned. In this case they will not need to choose the casket themselves.
